PAINTED DESERT SHEEP PATTERNS AND MARKINGS |
Some sheep may exhibit what is called the 'ticking gene'. This will cause the white areas of the sheep that is distinctly spotted when young to slowly be filled in with color or 'ticks' as the sheep ages making the spots less distinctive. |
