Washington County Fairgrounds
(1/2 mile East of Courthouse on E. Market St. – Salem, Indiana)

Peewee Fun Class – for showmen under 6 years old (trophy to winner)

Showmanship Classes ($5.00 Entry Fee)
Juniors – 6-11 yrs. Old ($25 to winner)
Intermediates – 12-16 years old ($25.00 to winner)
Seniors – 17-21 years old ($25.00 to winner)

Market Classes – Wethers and Eses Shown Together by Weights
Supreme Market Lamb - $150.00 and Pennant Banner
Reserve Market Lamb - $75.00

Washington County Youth Market Lamb Class- 1st. $25.00: 2nd $15

Wool and Hair Breeding Ewe and Ram Classes (By Breeds)
Jr. Lambs (born in March or later), Lambs, Yearlings, Aged Supreme Wool and Hair Breeding Ewes
- $100.00 and Pennant Banner; Reserve Ewes - $50.00; Supreme Wool and Hair Breeding Rams -
$50.0 and Pennant Banner; Reserve Rams- $25.00’ Supreme Flock – Pennant Banner

Rules:
>Sheep (excluding wethers) must have scrapies tags.
>Entry Fee is $12.00 per Head ($8.00 for Wash. Co. Residents)
>Do NOT Unload until show official has checked sheep at designated check-in area on west end.
>All Lambs must Be Entered and Weighed by 10:00am EDT
>After Lambs are Entered in, They Must Remain Stalled in Livestock Pavilion.
>Market Lambs must be slick shorn for show (No more than ½ inch of Fleece at Check-in time)
>Ewe Lambs can not be shown in Both Market and Breeding Classes
>Breeding Animals- Must have Registration Papers to Show in Purebred Breed Classes
All other animals will show in the Commercial Wool Class or Commercial Hair Class
>Farm Flock class – 1 ram (any age), 2 yearling ewes and 2 ewe lambs
>Class Premiums will be $12-1st, $8.00-2nd, $5.00-3rd, (3 head per class to pay premiums)
>Exhibitors are responsible for Bedding and Clean-Up.
>Show Committee Makes Final Decisions and Reserves the Right to disqualify any Exhibitors and
their animals due to abusive, Unethical, Deceptive or Fraudulent Practices

The Washington County Sheep Association will have food and drinks available
